A variety of dance classes and workshops are available all year round and are led by Tanya and Alan.
Tanya is a skilled and multifaceted independent performing artist and storyteller with a variety of skills that range from dance and theatre to singer, puppeteer and maker to permaculture practitioner and amazing cook, this makes her work impossible to put into boxes as she has an incredible amount of skills that feed into her performing and teaching career. Her experience of working with children, young people and adults is vast. One of her greatest achievements is the inspiration, positive impact and confidence instilled in the lives of the 1000’s of people that engages through her work. She have introduced thousands of people not only to theatre and dance but to Latin American Culture, diversity opens our minds to new perspectives. Alan is a UK based artist with a variety of skills that range from visual artist to maker and sculptor, he has collaborated on many projects with Cusan Theatre making a whole range of wonderful creatures and artworks, using all kinds of creative approaches and materials that respond to particular sites, and perhaps, most importantly they respond to the people that he collaborates with along the way to creates them. 'Blending contemporary dance with traditional and popular South American dances' such as Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia and more for all levels up to professional standard. Tanya’s classes, fuse and combined traditional and popular South American Dances with Contemporary dance theatre.
'Ballet Technique', all levels up to professional standard. 'South American dances' including Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Bachata, Mambo, Tango and more, Tanya teaches all levels up to professional standard. 'Creative dance and drama workshops' for children and young people. 'Chair Salsa dance' for groups with particular needs and little movility. 'Carnival Workshops' including social dance, parades and the use of masks and costumes.

We will deliver 2 workshops during the day at your school.
This creative project will start with the dramatic retelling of ‘The Princess and the Dragons’ fairy tale. Tanya will bringthe story alive by using life size puppets of the characters.The use of puppets and drama will immerse the children in the story by providing them with a visual stimulus of the characters and the story setting. The children will then create 3D story settings and characters, using a range of materials and props. These can then be used by the children as a visual prompt when they tell their own fairy tales.

We will deliver interactive workshops during the day at your school.
This superb workshop celebrates cultural diversity and the importance of exploring different cultures and traditions, using a combination of masks, life size puppetry , music and creative salsa dance this workshop explores ways of celebrating around the world. A hands on workshops were the children will have the chance to dress up, create fantastic characters and explore music
and movement from carnival.

A hands on workshops were the children will have the chance to dress up, create fantastic characters and explore music

MAKING MASKS OR HEADS WORKSHOPS
The making takes no less than a week residency, at least 5 days, and it will involve at least 4 hours or 5 per day to create something.
MAKING DANCING LIFE SIZE PUPPETS
Looking at the use of puppetry with in performance and the use of puppetry as extensions of our bodies.
This workshop involves designing, making and performing with life size dancing puppets created during the course.
The life size puppets will be made by the participants using simple materials such as news papers, masking tape and other recycled materials.
A PUPPETRY MOVEMENT WORKSHOP
This workshop can be done in a day, we will bring some our puppets/heads and other materials as part of the workshop so than we can work with the participants on how to use and bring this characters to life.
CREATIVE SPANISH WITH PUPPETS
A simple introduction to Spanish conversation through the making and the use of puppetry. An inspiring, hands-on, interactive workshop, design and led by Tanya that uses a variety of elements from making puppets to play, games and physical involvement to enhance and develop the Spanish language.
The workshop is suitable for every one of us ,Tanya will adapt the workshops depending on the age of the participants.
These workshops can culminate in a sharing of the work done.
During the workshops, the participants will make their own puppet character using a variety of materials, exploring the names of the materials that they are using in Spanish to help them expand their Spanish vocabulary, after that the participants will start to develop a conversation in Spanish between the puppet and themselves or between the puppets, creating a variety of scenarios and stories.
