'Cabezonas' a walkabout

These beautiful and colourful Carnivalesque creatures are made from all things recycled and inspired by a variety of amazing women figures such as Frida Kalho, our Colombian Palenqueras, Mother Earth our Pachamama and independent artists and creatives.
T
hese characters are made with reference to the style of Latin American carnivalesque figures inspired on the characters named Mojigangas and Cabezones  which have big heads. There were brought to Mexico by the Spaniars around 1600 and later introduced around Latin America in a variety of ways, they took on different manifestations according to the style of the local artisans and the materials available to them.
Our Cabezonas are designed to parade and are suitable for a variety of festivals, such as street festivals, puppet festivals, garden events, fairs and more outdoor events.
